1)      All agricultural products should be locally grown, all crafts should be hand made: no resale items or imports. Farmers’ markets are an opportunity to “meet the producer”, and therefore we do not allow “agents” (someone other than the producer).

2)      It is permissible to have a “stand-in” person a total of 2 times. The vendor must produce at least 90% of products offered. Any exceptions to either of the above, requires prior arrangement with the Market Manager.

3)      A vendor’s space consists of a 10’ booth. Double booths pay double fees. We will be assigning permanent spaces to our regular vendors this year. This is a privilege that is given to those vendors who support the market throughout the season; without their support this market would not be the success it is.  Be sure you know where to set up before you begin; if you are in someone’s assigned space you will be asked to move. Any reserved space still open at 3:00 (market opening time) is available for use by another vendor.

4)      The fee is $5 per day. These fees help to pay our insurance, advertising and other expenses. The fee is to be paid to the Market Manager upon request.

5)      Vendors are responsible to bring their own tables and shade. Picnic tables are reserved for customers and other park users. Please pack out your own garbage.

6)      No dumping is allowed at this market. (Selling a product at a considerably lower price than the fair market price.) Do not give away free food to potential shoppers if you leave the market early. Leftover produce may be brought to the Tonasket Food Bank. Giving out free samples is permissible. No sales allowed before market opens (3:00).

7)      The Washington State Food Safety Code requires that all processed food products be produced in a certified kitchen. The CCC has a certified commercial kitchen avail for rent. Market vendors may receive the special membership rate of $5 per hour. (Check with River in CCC Office for details.)

8)      After unloading, move your vehicle so that customers may find convenient parking. This is a very important consideration, as we need the customers to be able to shop and carry their purchases to their cars easily. When market is over for the day, you can easily drive your vehicle back to the edge of the park to reload your gear and unsold goods.

9)      The Farmer’s Market does not accept WIC coupons at this time, so please do not accept them, as we cannot reimburse you. We will work to change this for next year.

10)  Treat others with respect. Anyone not abiding by this request will be asked to leave the market.

11)  There is a grievance procedure in place. Any grievances must be submitted in writing, to Matt Welles or River Jones, CCC Executive Director.

Have a fun and prosperous Market Season!
