about "web'trice"

Hi! I designed this site with the dial-up user front and center in my mind. Many of our members don't have access to broadband, even if they wanted to pay for it. I live in the hills, and I don't have the money for satellite internet just to find out what's going on in town (or to maintain this site!) My dialup runs at 49k--and many people I know run closer to 30, or even 18.

So, you'll find no videos or flash around here ;-) The site has a little color and is completely readable with images turned off in your browser (saves loading times); the few images that are here are all pretty small files.

I do this site for love, not money, so I'm not for hire. If you have a community service or non-profit that needs help with a web presence, I might help out as my time allows. For that, or for any feedback about this site you want to give me, email patrice2@hotmail.com
